Privacy Policy
Play Sim Sports is a small studio, and this is a plain-language policy. The short version: we collect your email if you give it to us, we use analytics to see how the site and the games are used, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone.
What we collect
- Email address — if you register for an alpha code or launch notes. Stored with our newsletter provider, Buttondown. Used for exactly what the form says: alpha codes and launch announcements. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Usage analytics — we use PostHog to understand how people use this site and our games (pages viewed, buttons clicked, rough device/browser info). This involves cookies or similar browser storage.
- Game account data — if you play Hoops Dynasty, your account (email, login) is handled by Supabase and your in-game actions are stored on our servers so the shared worlds work. Error reports go to Sentry so we can fix crashes.
- Server logs — our hosting providers (Cloudflare, AWS) keep standard access logs.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal information.
- We don't run third-party advertising or ad trackers.
- We don't collect more than the game and site need to function.
Who processes data for us
Buttondown (email list), PostHog (analytics), Supabase (game accounts and database), Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare (hosting), Sentry (error reporting), Resend (transactional game email).
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email via the link in its footer.
- Want your email or game account deleted? Write to [email protected] and we'll remove it.
Age
Our games and this site are intended for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
The games are in active development and this policy will evolve with them (a fuller version is planned before paid access launches). We'll update the effective date at the top when it changes.
